Description: Take The Black was a multi-platform program built in anticipation of the home entertainment release for Game of Thrones: The Complete Second Season. Through an online interactive experience, fans were led by the character Jon Snow (voiced by actor Kit Harrington) in pledging their allegiance to The NIght's Watch. Once completed fans could choose to add their voice to a regularly updated communal chorus and then share it across social networks.

On the evening of the release fans were invited to a launch-night event in New York City. Those in attendance watched a life-size Direwolf come to life in an ice sculpture, ate Westeros-inspired food from Inn at The Crossroads, were entertained by Jason Yang and his 10-piece orchestra with live music from the Game of Thrones soundtrack, snap photos of the actual Jon Snow costume and Longclaw sword used in the show, played in-person and online trivia for unique prizes plus have themselves capture into YouTube video clips wearing a replica Night's Watch cloak and taking the Oath "north of the Wall."
